Alyssa Neitzert RN, BSN, CEN, has been a registered nurse since 2007 and specializes in forensic nursing. She is currently the coordinator of the SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) program in Columbia, MO as well as a trauma nurse. She has provided direct nursing care to thousands of emergency care patients in various stages of acute medical crisis. Medical emergencies and injuries include, but are not limited to: blunt trauma (motor vehicle accidents, falls, physical altercations, etc.); Penetrating trauma to include, but not limited to: stabbings, shaken baby (non-accidental head trauma), gunshot wounds, etc. She has been an adult and pediatric sexual assault nurse examiner since 2008 and has completed physical examinations on over one hundred patients ranging in age form 3 months to 93 years.
Alyssa obtained her bachelors of science in nursing from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2007 and will graduate with a Master’s of Science Family Nurse Practitioner in July 2013 from Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
Alyssa is the founder of Grant Nurse Consulting and has provided expert witness testimony in cases involving: murder, child sexual abuse, child physical abuse, rape, shaken baby, and domestic violence. She has experience in depositions as well as in court testimony. She also conducts presentations about child abuse, child sexual abuse, sexual assault nurses, and elder abuse.
